NICE TOOL FOR A NICE PRICE!
I selected these over others because I didn't want to spend alot (only have one tree), but wanted good quality, nevertheless.I know Fiskars to be a very reputable brand in cutting tools, as I have used their household scissors for years. The price is comparable with lesser known companies' products, available locally, so I think this is the better choice. One feature I really like is that to extend the handles, all you have to do is give a little clockwise twist, pull them towards you, then a counterclockwise twist to lock them in place, which is super efficient, requiring only one hand for each handle. Most others I've seen require you to engage some type of lever higher up on each of the handles, in order to be able to extend them, then re-lock the lever afterwards, cumbersome, and requiring both hands. They have soft foam handles, and include a plastic, protective cover for the blade head.I haven't used them yet, but am sure they'll be just fine for any 1.5 or <, branches, as advertised.

East of use, quality of product!
I LOVE these heavy duty pruners for cutting back larger limbs on trees and shrubs. I often cut tree limbs at the trunk and then use a lighter version of the Fiskar pruner to cut the limbs into lengths that will fit into my yard waste bin. The handles are easily adjustable for length, and the blades are REALLY sharp. As an 83-year old female, sometimes I have a little trouble with the weight of the pruner when the handles are extended so I can reach the trunk, but the pruner truly does the job!

Sharp and wonderful
I inherited my gardener sister’s old loppers and shears that have chopped many a hefty bush or tree on our plant-loving property. They are all too dull by now to chop through anything but tendrils and I have no idea how to sharpen them, so I bought these loppers for one specific job: wild blackberries.Don’t laugh. I’m terrified of blackberries. They have these murder thorns, much like my cats. Unlike my sweet kitties, blackberries don’t let go.A creek runs by our house. Blackberries love the creek. In the spring, there is explosive growth and they begin taking over the public sidewalk, forcing neighborhood walkers to detour into the dreaded car zone. It’s just rude.I’m not a gardener. I’m nervous about things like bugs (while appreciating what they do … mostly) and things that stab me without warning. In past years I’ve tackled the blackberries without finesse, chopping vines with great effort using loppers so dull that I could then pick up the cut parts using the same loppers to toss them into the debris bin.I figured with new cutters I might need to actually handle the hurtful twits, so also bought some leather palmed gardening gloves. Brilliant!I removed more of the vines than ever before! No stab wounds! A bloodless coup! Very little effort needed! I should hang a sign by the sidewalk saying “This dagger-free walkspace courtesy of {homeowner}. No homeowners were harmed in the process.” (You must pronounce that word using the ‘meow’ in the middle of it.)

Heavy duty branch cutter
I've had several of these, some of them just like this one, and they are still working fine. Keep it out of the rain and oiled every now and then, and it will last forever. I cut some branches about 1/2 inch thick, but I believe that it will cut through 3/4-inch-thick branches with a little extra strong arm. Great branch cutter.

great compact trimmers
These are great compact trimmers; they cut as easily as a traditional unit, but are one-third as long, and they are easy to carry and use.

Sharp
These work well. Were very sharp and the extending handles were very handy to reach taller places on the tree.

Amazing
They are so easy to use with the ratchet; especially for women who may not have the upper body strength needed to cut limbs. They are made with high quality and I highly recommend these to anyone.
